you are invited to submit your papers to the 4th International Workshop on Web Semantics (part of the 16th International Workshop on Database and Expert Systems Applications DEXA), to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, 22 - 26 August, 2005.

The objective of the workshop Web Semantics (WebS) is to bring together researchers, developers and practitioners to discuss research issues and experience in developing and deploying Semantic Web concepts, applications, and solutions being an international forum for the presentation of both theoretical and applicative results. This year the workshop will also focus on Semantic Web applications and medical information systems. Papers describing application experiences are particularly encouraged.

PAPER SUBMISSION DETAILS

Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research and application papers that are not being considered in another forum. Manuscripts will be limited to 5 two-column pages (IEEE Proceeding style) including figures and references. Please follow the IEEE Computer Society Press Proceedings Author Guidelines to prepare your papers. Authors of accepted papers are requested to sign the IEEE copyright form. The author guidelines can be found at http://computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm.

Electronic submission of manuscripts (in postscript, word or pdf format) is required and will be handled via the workshop Web site http://www.dexa.org/. For any questions please contact webs@faw.uni-linz.ac.at.

At least one author of each accepted paper is required to attend the conference and present the paper. There is no student reduction available for authors. Papers accepted for presentation will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press as proceedings of the DEXA'05 workshops.

Authors are requested to send the abstract of their paper to be received by January 28, 2005. The file of the full paper should be submitted to be received by February 01, 2005.

EVALUATION PROCESS

All submissions will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity, and technical soundness. Each paper will be refereed by at least two to three researchers in the topical area.

Notification of acceptance: April 22, 2005
