Accommodations General Conditions:
• Room rates quoted inclusive 10% service charge, 6% service tax (ST) per room per night & in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) and Penang Local Government fee of MYR 3.00nett per room per night.
• Malaysian Government's Tourism Tax of RM10.00 pett per room, per night is excluded and will be charged at the resort upon checkout. 
• The rate offered above applies when booking is made within 30 days prior to the arrival date and payment is completed.
• Wireless internet connection on complimentary basis (up to 2, devices per room)
• Bed type (king / twin bedded) is subject to availability upon confirmation
• Check-in time from 15:00 onwards, check-out time is 12:00.

How to book:

Sedan Car: Toyota Camry RM 230.00 nett per car per way
MPV (5-Seater): Toyota Innova RM 220.00 nett per MPV per way
Van (14-Seater): Nissan Urvan RM 290.00 nett per van per way
- Additional charge of 50% per vehicle will be charged for services between 2300hours – 0659hours
- Cancellation charge of 50% per vehicle will be imposed for any cancellation made within or less than 24 hours
- In the event of no show or same day cancellation, 100% of the transfer charge per vehicle will be imposed

Kent Holidays, our travel partner, provides airport pick-up and drop-off  and also the optional tours around Penang of your choice.

Public Transportation Available in Penang
Taxis are easily available around the island; it is a common means of getting around by visitors. Be sure to agree on a price before boarding the taxi. Start by asking how much it is to get to your destination; you can negotiate on the prices quoted if you feel that they are too high.

E-hailing Services
Apps such as Grab is available in Penang. Simply download the app to start booking your trips. Payment is either by cash or credit/debit card.

Renting a car offers great flexibility and convenience. They are charged by daily rate – all you must do is pay a deposit and the car is yours to go anywhere with. Car rentals are available around town – most hotels can hook you up with one.

Bicycles and motorbikes also offer inexpensive and fun ways to explore the island. There is a shared bike system in the city and its surroundings and other bike rentals are also available along the hotel stretch of Batu Ferringhi.

Trishaws @Beca
Driven purely on manpower, the iconic trishaw is great for going around George Town ONLY. Be sure to agree on a price before starting your journey. The average rate is RM30 per hour for two-persons, depending on the distance between starting and ending points.

The main public bus service is by Rapid Penang and it covers an extensive area both on the island and mainland (Seberang Prai). Simply ask around or look out for signboards to find out which bus route serves you best. Upon boarding the Rapid Penang bus, inform the driver of your destination, pay the amount required and receive a ticket for your trip. Remember to prepare exact change as no change will be given back as all buses do not carry change for safety reasons.
Fares are based on distance travelled.

Visa and Invitation Letters 

  • Please notice that visa letters will ONLY be issued to participants who have registered and paid their registration fees in full.
  • It must be understood that these letters are only intended to help participants to obtain a visa or to raise travel funds and do not commit the conference organisers to any financial nor insurance obligations.

International participants should be particularly aware and careful about visa requirements & regulations and should plan travel well in advance. Before travelling, it is recommended that you check with the Malaysian Representative Office in your country or vist Malysian Government website for an updated information.
Should participants of DEXA 2023 need a letter from the organisers of the conference for filing a visa request, they are required first to complete registration and payment at (( and then send an email to the organiser office ( with the following information:
